Iconic UK knitwear brand plunges into liquidation – founded in 1985 | UK | News

Original Blues was founded in 1985 and has been offering “unrivalled” cotton knitwear for over forty years.

The brand has now ceased trading. According to The Gazette, Neum Insolvency Ltd has been appointed as liquidator.

Its online store has already been taken offline and is now password protected.

The clothing brand produced products from 100 percent cotton using Indigo dye and each product was produced in England.

As previously stated on the Original Blues website, “Each piece in our Original Blues collection is designed and created by our in-house design team, whose inspiration draws from the natural world, particularly nautical and nautical themes.”

“So we can offer you an unrivaled range of unique, top-quality knitwear that combines a multitude of innovative and creative designs, textures and patterns.”

The closure follows a number of other clothing retailers going bust in the UK.

High street retailer Quiz went into administration for the second time in less than a year on February 5, with all its branches closing their doors.
