IIM-Calcutta student allegedly raped inside institute premises, one held

Police, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, a woman studying at the Indian Management Institute was allegedly raped by a student in a hostel school.

The defendants, Haridevpur police station was arrested on the foundation of a fir made by the woman, he said.

A police officer said that the alleged incident in his boys’ IIM-Calcutta hostel took place on Friday, July 11, 2025.

“The woman stated that she was called to the hostel for a consulting session in the Fir. Then she became unconscious after consuming a drink tied with drugs in the hostel. She realized that she was raped after she regained the consciousness of the woman.” He said.

If the officer explained to anyone, the defendant claimed that he threatened him with terrible consequences.

“The defendant student was detained before he was officially arrested last night,” he said. More research continues.

Development comes for almost two weeks after allegedly being ganged at a legal college in Calcutta.
