“Over 26 pages it outlines strategies, programs and initiatives. What it doesn’t do is address the key business realities facing the industry. There is no significant response to insurance costs, which operators consistently identify as a major constraint. There is no engagement with the impact of the portable long service permit levy. There is no meaningful comparison of ACT liquor license fees to other states, despite repeated claims that they are among the highest in the country,” Holder said.
