M6 traffic LIVE: Major motorway closed as crash sparks travel chaos | UK | News

An accident for thousands of drivers caused movement chaos and long delays after a tension of the M6 was closed.

The two lanes of the M6 are closed between the 17th Junction in Sandbach and the Junction 18 in Holmes Chapel.

There are long queues in the area, it is stretched for miles. Vehicles were warned that intense delays were waiting for the rush time.

Traffic Monitoring Service Inrix said: “J17 A534 Old Mill Road (Sandbach / Crewe) J18 A54 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich / Holmes Chapel) M6 north of the m6 two strips closed and ranking traffic.”

Emergerncy services are available at the scene and to cope with traffic.
