Bihar elections: Poll code violation case against Pappu Yadav for distributing money among flood victims in Vaishali

A case has been filed against Bihar MP Pappu Yadav for allegedly violating the model code of conduct after he distributed money to flood-affected people in Vaishali district, officials said on Friday.
They said the case was registered against Purnea Independent MLA Yadav at Sahdei police station on Thursday night following a complaint filed by the district administration.
SP Lalit Mohan Sharma said, “The case was registered based on CCTV footage and statement given by an official on survey duty.” he said.
He added that the matter was being investigated.
Voting for the parliamentary elections in the state will be held on November 6 and 11, and the votes will be counted on November 14.
The model code of conduct comes into force when the election commission announces the voting dates. PTI
