Bob Katter in strife for threatening to punch reporter

Maverick Deputy Bob Katter can change or suspend after being directed to the standards of the Parliament on the threats of a reporter.

On Thursday, Mr. Katter led to a widespread condemnation after a long -term explosion, at a press conference on the plans to participate in anti -immigration rallies, after a question about the Lebanese heritage threatened nine journalists.

Although Prime Minister Anthony told the Albanian deputy to “look at himself”, Mr. Katter entered and insisted that he should be more aggressive.

The Greater Senator Sarah Hanson-Young is asked to ask the Independent Parliament Standards Commission to investigate the incident.

“The threat … It was bad enough, but now he had doubled and he said he was uninterrupted for someone in public life.” He said.

“The standard you pass is the standard you accept. Parliament has an important role in determining behavioral standards, and this is clearly unacceptable behavior.”

Parliamentary rules of behavior states that politicians should treat people they come into contact with while fulfilling their dignity, kindness, courtesy, justice and respect.

If the commission believes that a more serious sanction is guaranteed, Mr. Catter may be referred to the Parliamentary Parliamentary Committee of Parliament’s Parliamentary Assembly.

“It seems to think that the rules of normal respectful participation do not apply to him,” he said.

“This is not good.”

“Mr. Katter should apologize to Josh Bavas without hesitation or resign from Parliament.”

He asked for an apology from Nine Mr. Catter.

When asked for a potential investigation into his behavior, Queensland said he hoped he would be one.

“My only regret was not more aggressive against him. I should have just continued to apologize.
