In China After Five Years, EAM Jaishankar Confident Of ‘Positive Trajectory’ In Bilateral Ties | India News

India-China bonds: Foreign Minister Dr. Jaishankar, the new Delhi and Beijing ‘positive orbit of bilateral vineyards will protect the confidence in the trust. During his meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, Jaishankar said India supported China for the SCO Presidency.
Jaishankar took to X and said, “Shortly after I came to Beijing today, he was pleased to meet Vice President Han Zheng. He conveyed India’s support to China’s SCO chairman.” Jaishankar will also attend the SCO Foreign Ministers Council Meeting (CFM) held in Tianjin on July 15th.

Foreign Minister added further, “He recorded the recovery in our binary ties and said that the discussions will continue this positive orbit during my visit.”
Jaishankar reached Beijing on Sunday evening after an efficient visit to Singapore. The visit comes at a time when both countries tried to improve falling tensions and relationships following the Deadly Galwan Valley conflicts in 2020.
The Foreign Minister is expected to meet with the Chinese counterpart Wang for a dual meeting on Monday. Jaishankar and Wang lastly met on the sides of a G20 meeting in Johannesburg in February, where both sides reiterated their calls for mutual trust and support.
Jaishankar’s visit is following the visits of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who traveled to China in June for SCO meetings, and Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor. Wang Yi is expected to meet NSA Ajit Doval, a part of a dialogue round planned under the mechanism of Special Representatives (SR) aiming to visit India next month and solve decimal border disputes.
