In London, T.N. CM Stalin meets U.K.’s Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State; discusses deeper collaboration

Tamil Nadu Prime Minister MK Stalin, who visited Britain, met with Foreign Secretary Deputy Catherine West (Indo-Pacific) and discussed the deeper Tamil Nadu-Uk cooperation opportunities in various strategic areas.

In his social media article, Mr. Stalin said that they discussed opportunities in the Green Economy, Education, Research, Skills and Maritime Connection. “I emphasized the powerful aspects of Tamil Nadu in the field of renewable energy, e-mobilites, IT & production, and invited deeper England to create a sustainable and ready-to-future economy.”

A official version of the Tamil Nadu government published from London said that the meeting emphasized the increasing level of relevance as an important player in the Indian-UK partnership of the state-not only economically, but also in areas such as green economic leadership, education and research and flexible maritime connection.

The Prime Minister emphasized Tamil Nadu’s competitiveness in electrical mobility, renewable energy, IT services and manufacturing and invited more participation in these sectors through trade and investment partnerships.

Discussions also investigated the strengthening of Tamil Nadu-Uk bonds in cooperation with higher education, skills and climate. The Prime Minister underlined Tamil Nadu’s global leadership in green hydrogen, solar energy and wind energy, and said how the state could serve as a valuable partner in England’s climatic diplomacy.

“This meeting adds more depth to the Prime Minister’s participation in the UK, which resulted in the signing of several strategic mous between aviation, maritime intelligence, renewable energy, textile and design training,” he said.
