In Post-Nijjar Shift, Canada Arrests His Successor, A Key Khalistan Referendum Organiser Inderjit Singh Gosal | India News

After the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Inderjit Singh Gosal, the new president of the Halistan referendum campaign in Canada, was arrested by Canada Police. Gosal, Canadian Coordinator Gosal for the Terrorist Organization SİHS Justice Sikhs (SFJ), was arrested for several firearms. The arrest is seen as an indication of the Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s counterpart Nathalie Drouin in New Delhi last week, and Canada’s policy of pro -Khalistan forces.

Gosal’s suspicious role and controversial history

Gosal’s name came to the forefront of anti -Indian activities after Nijjar’s death. Last year, he was suspected of a violent case in a temple in the Great Toronto region and was released after temporary detention. He was also accused of planning violence at the Indian Consulate facilities in Canada. Gosal, famous for his hyperactive campaign supporting the Khalistan referendum, was a personal security guard of SFJ Chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu in his trips to Canada. It is also known to have relations with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), a banned terrorist group.

Diplomatic voltages and security claims

The arrest comes after a very tense diplomatic relations between Canada and India after the murder of Nijjar last year. Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Indian government officials for planning the murder. India had retaliated by withdrawing its high commissioner and five other officials from Otawa and expelling the Canadian diplomats.

Gosal himself stated that he was a victim of criminal violence. In an interview with a Canadian news portal, he said that he was “under close threat to my life of the Indian government and his deputies” but still has to continue his work. The Canadian police said that Gosal was one of the 13 citizens who were victims of violence targeting pro -Khalistan forces.
