According to The Sun, the Ministry of Internal Affairs tried to deport Hamid, claiming that he would face “very serious obstacles” in integrating into German society.
Hamid is a German national who came to the UK as a young boy.
In the objection against the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was stated that his lawyers referred to this and that he could not speak German.
The lawyers also claimed that Hamid would be targeted by far-right German groups, saying Germany was less tolerant of Hamid’s Muslim faith. Sun.
A new decision regarding Hamid’s future is expected to be made next year.
The initial judicial decision that Hamid could remain in England has now been overturned.
Former detective Colin Sutton, Reform UK’s Police and Crime adviser, has pressed the Government to deport all foreign prisoners.
To talk Great Britain NewsMr Sutton said: “I think most people will say: Get them out. Deport them as soon as they’re convicted.
“As long as they are away from us, they become their own country’s problem, which is probably how they should be.”
