Himalayan Malts Shine: Two Indian Spirits Crowned Champions At World’s Leading Whisky Awards 2025 | World News

New Delhi: India’s whiskey manufacturers are raising their glasses this year. Devans Modern Breweriies created a moment of pride with two of the new single malts. Gianchand Adambaraa and Gianchand Manshaa have gone away with the best prizes in two of the world’s most respected whiskey competitions.
Gianchand Manshaa carried a spotlight in Germany. Viski abolished the International whiskey of 2025 to the Meininger’s International Souls Award (ISW). He also received a Grand Gold medal, one of the most valuable recognized in the competition. Success gave India a strong space in an area often ruled by Scottish and Japanese names.
The celebrations began in the US earlier this year. In the International Whiskey Competition in Las Vegas (IWC) in 2025, Gianchand Adambaraa received the best single Malt Indian whiskey and the best nests for the best Indian whiskey. The double win turned the heads at the event and placed the Jammu spirit on a global rising whiskey list.

The Gianchand label carries its roots in Himalayalar. The drink factory is based on Jammu.
Shaped by the former American bourbon barrels, Gianchand Manshaa reflects a rich profile. While the amber tone shines deeply, the dried apricot, honey and caramel notes leave a smooth memory on the palate.
Jim Murray, a leading whiskey critic, wrote this as the “Malt lover’s dream”. “The high -class is closest to a Scottish malt, which is located anywhere in the world,” he said.
Gianchand Adambaraa stands apart with a smoky spirit. It carries citrus tips, green layers and spices prepared with a brave edge.
Murray praised “Charing Form and his fascinating smoke with peat”. The mixture brings balance between fire and freshness and provides India a competitive contestant with the best global malts.
These honors speak with a broader story. Indian souls now take up a serious place in the global premium whiskey market. Once upon a time, judges and critics who only look at the settled whiskey nations are now finding India on the same stage.
The year also brought another feather to the Indian cover. Himmaleh Spirits is known for his Bandarphul Cold Brew Coffee liquor. Craft creation won the gold medal in the 2025 US Spirits rating in San Francisco.
Judges have called their quality, value and packaging after examining the best liquor in the world. The jury included US trade buyers and industrial leaders. The entrances with only 90 to 95 points have reached the Gold Status and Bandarful took its place among them.
The results show an industry in motion. Indian labels, which were once proud of the local pride, are now carrying global prizes. With every victory, the distillers beyond Jammu and beyond write a new section for the souls of the country.
