France vs Morocco Quarterfinal at Boston
France will face Morocco in a blockbuster showdown on Friday to kick off their star-studded quarter-final line-up and begin their final push for a third World Cup title.
Friday’s opening quarter-final is a repeat of the 2022 World Cup semi-final in Qatar, won by France, who lost the all-time classic final against Argentina on penalties.
In the USA, where all remaining matches will be played, France emerged as the standout side after dazzling offensive displays. But they will face their toughest test yet against African champions Morocco at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, outside Boston.
Impressive Morocco managed to get past the Netherlands in the last 32 and progress through the group stage before edging out hosts Canada.
The winner will advance to the semi-finals with the winner of the match between European champions Spain and Belgium on Saturday in Los Angeles.
