Although the debates have not also signed any sales agreement, he also touched upon the defense-industry routes that emerged, including Anti-Drone technologies. At the beginning of this month, Indian defense companies and Algerian representatives met at a seminar in Algeria to explore cooperation.

Importance of India-Algeria Relations

For the new Delhi, Maghreb-Sahel-Mederanean, a country rich in Algeria, oil, gas and critical minerals, is a strategic partner, talented army and regional mediation history. The Algerian positions in the African Union and his emphasis on “pro -southern” solidarity are compatible with India’s wider African social assistance.

Despite its long -standing ties with Russia, China and Pakistan, Algeria and New Delhi find areas of convergence. Algeria’s last expensive condemnation of the terrorist attack stressed the fight against terrorism as a priority.

Changing in Algeria Defense Partnerships

General Dwivedi’s visit is based on high-level stock exchanges: Last year, the defense chief General Anil Chauhan attended the commemoration ceremonies of Algeria’s 70th anniversary of independence, and President Droupadi Murmu visited the country in October-November.

Algeria has significantly increased defense expenditures in recent years, which have been a part of the urge to modernize the armed forces. Analysts say that the latest defense agreements with India and the United States show a clear attempt to diversify partnerships and reduce confidence in Russia. According to Arab Weekly’s report, Moscow’s ability to provide weakened weakened guns from the war in Ukraine and concerns about the quality of Russian equipment contributed to this pivot.

The visit of General Dwivededi is the basis of the long-term army-army-Ordu-Ordu cooperation supported by the Indian officials, common sovereignty, alignment and shared principles of south-south cooperation.
