LA Dodgers’ fans furious as Harry and Meghan get royal treatment at World Series over local legends

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left Dodgers fans less than impressed after getting the best seats in the house for a front-row date night at Game 4 of the World Series.

Seemingly deeply rooted in Los Angeles life, the superstar couple was decked out in Dodgers gear for the big game on Tuesday night, and Fox’s TV cameras regularly zoomed in on them enjoying the action.

In a surprising decision that fans were quick to spot, Harry and Meghan were given front row seats worth tens of thousands of dollars, while local legends Magic Johnson and Sandy Koufax were relegated to the second row.

Johnson is a partial owner of the team, while Koufax is a four-time World Series champion and Hall of Fame pitcher; but instead it was Harry and Meghan who got the royal treatment.

One fan on social media wrote: ‘Prince Harry and his wife Sandy sitting IN FRONT of Koufax? It’s not real. #WorldSeries #Dodgers’

Another added: ‘Why are they in front of Sandy?’, while a third noted: ‘They need to go.’

‘Magic Johnson is royalty’ is another note from the NBA legend, who has become a billionaire and part owner of both the Lakers, Dodgers and Washington Commanders in the years since his retirement from his own professional basketball career.

Before the game, MLB released a clip of Harry and Meghan smilingly greeting fans as they entered the stadium, flanked by security guards as they made their way to their seats.

Meghan sat in a sought-after seat in the front row of the crowd to Harry’s right, just behind the field clock. It is unclear whether they paid for the seats or were invited by the team as VIPs.

Both wore blue Dodgers hats, and the superstar couple matched their other outfits by pairing white shirts with a blue top layer.

Their decision to represent Los Angeles over Toronto confused some fans, given both’ connections to Canada.

Markle lived and spent seven years in Toronto while filming Suits, the TV show that made her famous, and has regularly spoken about her relationship with the city.

‘This is like my home,’ he told Best Health magazine in 2015. ‘I didn’t know what to expect at first but everyone was so welcoming.

‘The people are so kind, I love the food scene and I really love exploring little corners around the city with my two dogs… I love how much green space is hidden away; You wouldn’t expect this.’

He has even been seen in Blue Jays colors on multiple occasions, and a photo of a fan wearing a hat was shared widely on social media.

Meanwhile, Harry also has a deep connection to Canada, leading fans to argue he should root for the Blue Jays against the Dodgers.

He trained with Canadian forces during his time in the army, and Canada is part of the Commonwealth that was once under British rule.

There are 56 countries in the Commonwealth, 14 of which still recognize Harry’s father, King Charles, as head of state; Including Canada.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, it wasn’t long before Harry and Meghan were featured on the big screen to a sold-out crowd.

According to one X user, fans in the stadium ‘looked absolutely stunned’ by the celebrity guests’ attendance.

But many on social media were delighted to see the famous couple, with one writing to give the game the ‘Royal seal of approval’.

‘I love seeing global icons representing Los Angeles!’ Another was added. ‘The Dodgers are uniting the world, one hat at a time.’

Harry and Meghan weren’t the only celebrities featured on Tuesday night’s Fox TV broadcast; Names such as James Marsden, Austin Butler and Tobey Maguire were also in the stands.

Sydney Sweeney was another big name in the stands, appearing on Fox shortly after sparking a liberal crisis with her starring role in the pregame trailer.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s visit to the big game comes just days after they shared photos of their trip to the pumpkin patch with Archie and Lilibet.

The footage was notable, considering it was perhaps Meghan’s most intimate look at her children and their new life in Los Angeles.

In a clip shared on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, was seen with Prince Harry and their two children on a trip to Lane Farms in Santa Barbara and then putting up Halloween decorations at home.

While Meghan usually keeps her children’s faces hidden by only photographing them from behind, her latest video gave fans a glimpse of their features as they ran around while Prince Harry worked on a pumpkin.

Meghan’s video also showcased Harry’s cheeky side and featured his mother Doria Ragland and close friend Markus Anderson.

Markus is often referred to as Meghan’s “second husband” because of their close bond over the years.

While he has been by Meghan’s side more than ever in recent months – accompanying her to Disneyland and Paris Fashion Week – his latest invite to the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion confirmed his standing in her inner circle.
