Thousands of jobs to be created at Amazon’s new UK warehouses

As part of an important investment of £ 40 billion in the next three years, Amazon will create thousands of new businesses in the UK and indicate a great expansion of the logistics network.
The technology giant confirmed that a new fulfillment center in Hull will be opened this year and will create a role of about 2,000.
Northampton, which was planned to be opened in 2026, was allocated 2,000 for a site.
Beyond these approved places, Amazon also announced two additional warehouses for the opening of the 2027 in Eastern Midlands.
While the exact areas are not announced, these facilities are expected to be hired by thousands of more positions.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer praised his expansion plans as a “great victory” for the UK economy.
Amazon’s leadership emphasized that significant investment aims to increase regions, especially in the southern -east of London and England, and is compatible with wider efforts to raise economic opportunities.
This billion -pound commitment promises a significant support for employment and infrastructure in the key regional areas that Amazon’s growth in England continues.

Following centers are large warehouses where customer orders can be selected, packaged and sent – some use the latest technology, including robotics.
Amazon, one of the largest private sector employers in the country, hired more than 75,000 people in the UK and confirmed significant expansion plans for the London center.
This will constitute a part of an investment of £ 40 billion and see the opening of two new buildings in the company office in the Shorereditch region.
Investment also includes the majority of £ 8 billion, which has already been allocated for data centers throughout the UK, as well as spending on the upgrade process such as drone technology, flow service as ASAL and personnel fees and advantages.
Sir Keir said: “Amazon’s investment of £ 40 billion adds another big win to the British basket and a great trust in England as the best place to do business.
“This means thousands of new jobs – real opportunities for people in every corner of the country to build careers, learn new skills and support their families.”
Chancellor Rachel Reeves said that the investment is “a strong confirmation of the economic forces of England”.
