Jessica Mulroney’s ex-husband Ben shared an important update on the current status of his former friendship with Meghan Markle. The 44-year-old reportedly dumped Jessica as a friend after she was embroiled in a racism scandal that left the 45-year-old “toxic” on the Toronto social scene.
He appeared to suggest that the two were on “positive terms,” though he was careful not to delve too far into the topic.
Ben said: “This is Jess’s story, I won’t speak on her behalf, so if she wants to talk about it… My understanding is they have a positive relationship.”
Page Six revealed that the former couple are still on good terms after their split last year.
Ben and Jessica, a stylist, married in 2008 and share three children. The former couple are parents to twin sons John and Brian, born in 2010, and daughter Ivy, born in 2013.
Throughout their friendship, Jessica was thought to be the first of Meghan’s friends to learn she was engaged to Prince Harry in 2017.
Despite previously calling Meghan her “kindest” friend, Jessica reportedly later changed her mind.
A source told the Daily Mail: “If [Jessica] He could return to a piece of his wishes that he was never a part of [Markle and Prince Harry’s 2018] wedding. “While he enjoyed all the exposure it brought him at the time, that same exposure led to this explosion of discord on social media and the end of his friendship and marriage to Meghan.”
All three of Jessica’s children played a major role in Meghan and Harry’s big day in 2018; Their daughter took on the role of bridesmaid and their son held Meghan’s veil.
