India Post working to integrate services on ONDC, GeM portal

New Delhi, July 30 (PTI) India Post, Wednesday, said in a statement to integrate its services with an open network for digital trade and government e-market-this on Wednesday, a statement that will increase the accessibility of the postal service and compete with third-party logistics companies.
The information was shared with Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Minister of Communication, during the examination meeting of the Ministry of Duties.
“One of the basic columns of this transformation is the integration of India Post’s systems with large national digital trade ecosystems. According to the authorities, Digital Trade Network (OLDC), wallet -based prepaid reservations, central order tracking and ONDC’s accounting systems will provide automatic compromise.” He said.
The project is part of the technology -oriented transformation within the scope of the CT 2.0 frame of India Post.
During the examination meeting, the authorities reported that more than 86,000 post office used the new applications and until August 4, 2025, the network of about 165,000 posts would pass to the new platform.
During the examination, the minister was designed to provide real -time parts and trace capabilities, customized services for public customers, electronic delivery evidence, OTP -based authentication, digital payments and open API integration.
“The Government will provide API-oriented automatic pricing and central indicator panels for Post, Payment Tracking and Cash (COD) settlements thanks to cooperation with the government E-market (GEM).” He said.
In an article in the social media platform X, Pemmasani emphasized the strengthening of connections with the public, government offices and e-commerce platforms to create a more solid logistics network during the review meeting.
“Fast and efficient deliveries have been emphasized for mail transactions through advanced ranking mechanisms.” He said.
Officers, the postal department, the existing post offices by establishing special delivery centers that combine the service areas of all postal and parcel categories, said that a central delivery.
Delivery centers allows the department to provide flexible delivery services, including markets and holidays, morning and evening options.
“A total of 344 delivery center was launched during the countrywide during the 1st stage.”
