Active shooter reported at Brown University

Rhode Island authorities are responding after Brown University reported an active shooter on campus Saturday afternoon.
In a voice message sent to students, school officials said there was an active shooter near the Barus and Holley engineering building.
A warning message sent to students said “lock the doors, silence the phones, and remain anonymous until further notice.”

“Remember: If you are in the affected area, RUN, evacuate safely if you can; HIDE, take cover if evacuation is not possible; FIGHT, take action to protect yourself as a last resort,” school officials said in the warning. “Stay tuned for more safety information.”
Authorities have not yet confirmed any injuries or deaths.
