India slashes tariffs to ‘zero’ on US goods in new trade deal; says US President Trump | India News

In a significant move, US President Donald Trump on Monday announced the India-US trade deal and announced new reciprocal tariffs with immediate effect from 25% earlier to 18%.

The announcement was made on Truth Social; Here, US President Trump also stated that India will reduce tariffs and non-tariff practices on US products to ‘ZERO’ and Prime Minister Modi accepted the ‘BUY AMERICAN’ option at a higher level.

Although the ‘Zero tariff’ claims made by US President Trump have not been officially confirmed by the Government of India yet.
