Misri will meet with many interlocutors during the visit. US ambassador to India Sergio Gor is in the US to brief leaders on relations with India and is expected to meet with President Donald Trump.
“The visit will provide an opportunity to review the full spectrum of India-US bilateral relations and enhance ongoing cooperation in key areas,” the MEA statement said. The statement was included. “During the visit, the secretary of state will hold talks with senior officials of the US administration on a wide range of issues, including trade, defense, science and technology, as well as regional and global developments of mutual interest.”
The visit follows the foreign minister’s visit to Washington in February and is part of ongoing high-level talks between the two countries, the ministry said.
