Indian alloy steel producers file anti-dumping plea against Chinese steel, executive says
The New Delhi (Reuters) -Itan Alloy Steel Manufacturers Association gave a petition to Reuters on Monday, a petition of Anti -Damping against cheap imports from China to the Federal Ministry of Commerce.
India, the second largest raw steel manufacturer in the world, has the capacity to make approximately 18 million to 20 million tons of alloying steel per year used in automobile, defense and aviation sectors.
“Chinese alloy steel wire rods are selling very low prices and imports have increased significantly in the last three years and damage local alloy steel manufacturers. He said.
Dhawan said that the alloy steel wire rods were mainly used for cars and components.
Dhawan said that the Anti-Damping petition was opened with the Directorate of Trade General Directorates, which entered the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 31 July.
JSW Steel, Jindal Steel, Kalyani Stels and Mukand Sumi Steel, the biggest steel manufacturer of India, are among the members of ASPA.
In April, India introduced a 12% temporary tariff to some steel imports, known as a local protection task to prevent the increase in cheap shipments from China.
