While India aims to increase its medal count with a strong powerlifting squad, swimmers, gymnasts and boxers are also preparing to start their campaigns. The country’s schedule for the Commonwealth Games 2026 today, July 24, covers six sports and offers the Indian contingent its first medal opportunities in the event.
India’s boxing journey at Glasgow 2026 begins with Jadumani Singh taking on Scotland’s Aaron Cullen in the men’s 55kg round-of-32 match at the Scottish Events Campus (SEC). Olympian Srihari Nataraj will also be seen in swimming as he competes in heat 4 of the men’s 50m backstroke at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre. If qualified for the competition, the semi-finals will be played after midnight.
