His film Disco Dancer broke box office records in India and Russia and still holds the record as the highest-grossing Indian film.
Mithun admits that he doesn’t watch his own movies

Of these, 150 completed the Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee and many of them were released on the big screen for two years, but even in these 200 films, I have worked with complete honesty and hard work.”
