India’s defence production reaches all-time high of over ₹1.5 lakh crore in 2024-25 fiscal

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday, August 9, 2025, said that India’s annual defense production reached 1,50,590 Crore in 2024-25 years.
This shows about 18% growth on a total of 1,27 Lakh Crore of the previous financial year.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singh said that India’s defense production broke a record. “Annual defense production has increased to the highest level of 1.50,590 Crore of all time in 2024-25 financially.”
“These figures have increased by a solid growth of 18% compared to the production of 1.27 Lakh Crore of the previous financial year, and since 2019-20, the figure has increased 90% of 79,071 Crore.” He said.
The Defense Minister has achieved what the Ministry of Defense’s “collective efforts” and all stakeholders, including defense public sector units and private industry, called the “turning point”.
“This orbit is a clear indication of India’s strengthening defense industry base.” He said.
