IndiGo cancels 77 flights at Hyderabad airport on December 10, total disruptions cross 700

Flight disruptions continued at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, as IndiGo canceled 77 flights, including 40 arrivals and 37 departures. Thus, the number of cancellations at the airport has exceeded 700 since December 3.

Airport officials said passengers affected by Wednesday’s cancellations were notified in advance. They added that operations at the airport remained stable and there was no disruption in passenger movement.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation appointed officials to major airports on Tuesday, December 9, to assess the situation. In a post on He added that airline communication systems are working well and all stakeholders are focused on maintaining service reliability.

IndiGo said on Tuesday that its operations had resumed after several days of steady recovery across the network. The airline said it operated more than 1,800 flights on Monday, connecting all 138 stations, and planned to operate about 1,900 flights the next day. It said that in time performance had returned to normal and that it had introduced an automated process for customers to receive full refunds for cancellations through a simple ‘No Questions Asked’ mechanism on its website.

Passengers whose flights were canceled went to X and told about their experiences. Subrata Paul, one of the passengers, wrote that the airline’s claim that operations had returned to normal was vague. He said his flight from Hyderabad to Bengaluru was canceled the previous day, forcing him to travel by bus and he is still waiting for a full refund.

Another traveler said he booked a journey from Pune to Patna with a two-hour layover in Hyderabad. He said that while IndiGo operated its flight from Pune to Hyderabad as planned, it canceled its leg from Hyderabad to Patna, leaving him stranded on the transit route. He added that arranging an alternative trip was significantly more expensive.
