Man Gets 7 Years’ Jail for Assaulting Minor Girl

Nalgonda: A 40-year-old man was sentenced to seven years in prison for sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl in Khammam district, police said on Wednesday. Khammam Rural ACP B. Thirupathi Reddy said that the convict, Boinapally Veera Babu, was arrested by Khammam rural police after he allegedly sexually assaulted the minor girl on May 28, 2023.

The police filed a criminal complaint with the court based on scientific evidence and witness statements. First Additional District and Sessions Judge B. Srinivas Rao found Veera Babu guilty and sentenced her to seven years imprisonment and fined ₹50,000.
