Industries leave Cuddalore polluted; fisherfolk’s demands remain unmet

A long coastline and a dense industrial belt that fall within the jurisdiction of the Cuddalore Corporation have shaped the economic character of the constituency while also leaving a trail of unmet grievances in the region.

The coastline from the fishing villages of Nallavadu to Singarathoppu falls under the constituency, which includes Cuddalore Old Town, Kanganakuppam and Kondur.
