CNN’s Kara Swisher Cuts Deep at Trump Over Kaitlan Collins Meltdown — And Why She ‘Got Under His Skin’
COLLINS: Kara, beyond the attacks, I wonder…
KARA SWISHER: Yes. Wow.
COLLINS: –How did you come to understand how he didn’t care about the concerns of the survivors here? Not me. It’s the survivors who bring this up.
SWISHER: Isn’t that what you’re talking about, including the survivors of Donald Trump? I mean, I think about all these people in these files, which is really disturbing, I think that’s why you really upset him. And so he decided to launch personal attacks on you, which, anyway, was ridiculous.
But one of the things, I think about what New York Governor Hochul just put out on social media; President Trump wants to turn the page, but on the next page and the next.
So I think you are absolutely right to ask the question of what is and what should be released. Now that we’re halfway there, we have to do everything. And that was – you know, an important thing to do in this country, given the network of power that’s happening here and the abuse of people by very wealthy and connected people.
COLLINS: Yeah, it also seems to shed some light on his mindset about all of this; that is, he looks at things through the lens of how they affect him, frankly.
And he was saying that all the eviction proved was a conspiracy against him because Michael Wolffthe author and Jeffrey Epstein were emailing about him.
Frankly, that wasn’t the conclusion most people drew from what they read on Friday night.
SWISHER: No. No, of course not. But that’s what he’s doing, it’s a distortion field of reality that he’s created, and it’s simply not true.
People are interested in this because it shows that the elites are not accountable in a way, they are not abiding by the law in any way.
And so – and again, where are the prosecutions here? Where are they? What will happen next? He seems completely unconcerned about getting justice for the victims, which is what you asked about, and he tries so hard to maintain that – that’s not what I do – I couldn’t do what you did there, Kaitlan. I would – I just couldn’t.
COLLINS: I mean, there are so many survivors on the show. We talked to many of them. They became so…
SWISHER: Yes.
COLLINS: –candid and honest about things they don’t want to talk about and relive.
SWISHER: No. No.
COLLINS: And I mean, that’s what I kept in mind.
