Jurgen Klopp: Mohamed Salah could play for six or more seven years

Klopp and Salah have won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, two League Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup together.
“He knows this is the perfect club for him and he knows he is the perfect player for us,” Klopp said.
“Mo and I had big dreams, but we didn’t dare to dream that big. I’m not sure we can appreciate it to the right extent; it will happen soon. I wish him good luck because he deserves it.”
“The numbers he produced and the standards he set, some if not all of them, will remain absolutely unique in this modern era of the Premier League, because to do that and to do that for a club more or less is ridiculous.”
Klopp, 58, added that Salah was “one of the best professionals and people” he had ever met.
She said: “We texted and argued the other day but it was always for the right reasons. It was always good, especially looking back now, it’s just fine. And we’re both really happy to have been a part of this incredible journey.”
Asked whether it was the right time for Liverpool and Salah to part ways, as the winger’s contract still has one year left, Klopp said it was a “fair deal”.
The German pilot said, “It’s not up to me to make this decision, but I think it’s right to make an agreement.” he said.
“I think this whole relationship is a really fair deal. He’s a phenomenal player, he’s made outstanding numbers and of course some money.
“And now he can go wherever he wants and the club will have to find other players and they will and that’s absolutely fine.
“After all these years, there should be no bad feelings left, and as far as I’m concerned, I don’t see any bad feelings.”
Klopp admitted Salah would be “irreplaceable” but urged his former side to “find a new way of playing”.
Next season Liverpool will start the season without Salah for the first time since 2016.
“Yes, this specific type of players are irreplaceable. It’s always like that. There will be a void for someone to fill,” Klopp said.
“For a winger the numbers are ridiculous. For a striker those numbers are almost unmatched. That’s just the way it is. So if it’s impossible why try?”
“I’m not in a position to give advice to anyone. Just bring players in and play the kind of football that can be successful. That’s pretty much everything.”
Liverpool Legends will face Borussia Dortmund Legends in the annual LFC Foundation charity match at Anfield on Saturday, with Klopp set to be part of the hosts’ management team.
