iOS 26 will finally stop annoying misdials once and for all

I’ve been mistaken for people since I used an iPhone to make a search. Sometimes my fingers stand on the call list, sometimes I try to see someone’s communication card and longing, at other times, I touch it to hang for a second after the other person has already finished the call and Recents tab.
Regardless of the reason, I have to close it quickly or explain when I put it. Not anymore. In iOS 26, there is a new transition that eliminates the possibility of touching a recent call to accidentally investigate someone.
As determined by Aaronp613 in X, the new phone application in iOS 26 comes with a new setting for tap tap Recents to Call ”while using the updated interface. As it seems, reversing the transition will maintain the same behavior as before, and start searching when you touch an island or number on the Revens list. ” Therefore, if you don’t want to call someone by accidentally, you’ll want to keep the feature away. Now, instead of automatically calling, touching a island on the Recents list will go directly to communication cards and you can really call them if you want.
When switching to the new interface, the setting is closed by default, but it is not available when using the classic user interface.
Given, you cost you an extra faucet, so if you like the old road, you can always turn your passage. But still faster than explaining that you are mistakenly looking for them.
Update 16 June: Added that the setting is only available when using the new interface of the application.
