TIMS Sanathnagar set for March inauguration

According to an official press release, Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) Sanathnagar is on track to open in March and the last date for completion of all pending works has been fixed as February 28.
Vikas Raj, Special Secretary, Roads and Buildings Department, inspected the facility on Friday.
The inspection was carried out in the presence of senior health officials and members of Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited. The team examined the work on all floors, including Emergency Departments, Operating Rooms, Intensive Care Units and the Central Sterile Services Department.
The contractor was instructed to complete all construction and infrastructure works by February 28. Major installations such as 200 oxygen lines, 65 maintenance stations, registration meters and an RO facility for the Emergency Department will be completed within the stipulated time and made ready for trial runs.
Health department officials were instructed to ensure that essential support infrastructure, including laundry services, curtains, ICU and emergency bed railings, and hospital-wide signage, were in place by the end of the month.
To ensure operational readiness, the Director of Medical Education (DME) has been asked to immediately deploy medical and technical personnel for inspection and trial runs.
According to the statement, the first batch of 100 medical, paramedical and cleaning staff will be deployed between February 12 and 28, with full staffing expected to be completed by the end of the month.
