Iran executes seven over killings of security forces, cleric

According to Mizan, the judiciary, the judiciary reported that Dubai (Reuters) -Iran executed seven men who were convicted of killing security personnel and clergy on Saturday.
Six of men were ethnic Arab separatists accused of armed attacks and bombing in Khorramshahr in Khuzestan’s southwest state. The seventh, Kurdish Saman Mohammadi Khiyareh, 2009, was condemned to the assassination of Mamousta Sheikh Al-Islam, a pro-Government Sunni cleric in Sanandaj.
Mizan said that the rights groups have routinely connections with Israel, a accusation that they said they used to describe the opposition as a foreign -supported rather than raising the opposition against Ethnic Minorities.
The activists also questioned Mohammadi Khiyareh’s case, only 15 or 16 years old during the assassination, that he was arrested at the age of 19 and was kept for more than ten years of execution. They said that his conviction was based on torture confessions – an application that activists accused Iranian courts of regular use.
According to the International Amnesty International, Iran officials executed more than 1000 people so far in 2025, which is the highest annual figure recorded by the group within at least 15 years.
