Iran LIVE: Donald Trump deploys three missile-armed destroyers as strike ‘imminent’ | World | News

British rocker Yungblud called on his fans to speak out to the Iranian people with an impassioned speech in the middle of his set during his Australian tour.
The 28-year-old star switched the tempo from rockin’ to real talk to talk about the current Iran crisis between sets at her concert in Melbourne on Tuesday.
He told the story of Mahsa Amini to the crowd of 10,000 people.
“Two years ago, I talked about an Iranian girl named Mahsa Amini who was murdered because she wasn’t wearing a hijab. And no, it’s not my prerogative to question someone’s religion, but this community is fighting for equality and freedom all over the fucking world,” Sidney Myer told fans at the Music Bowl.
“What’s happening in Iran is beautiful because this revolution is being led by fucking women. And for four days their internet was down, their electricity was out, they were in the dark.”
He then called on fans to use their voices to empower the oppressed, like those in Iran.
He said: “They want our voice, we have to be their fucking light right now.
“So speak, shout, publish, because they are fighting for freedom, they are fighting for their freedom, they are fighting for our freedom. Because no one is free until we are all free.”
Mahsa Amini’s death triggered mass protests in Iran in 2022 after she was arrested by Iranian morality police for not properly separating her hijab. Authorities claimed that the 22-year-old had a heart attack while in police custody and was hospitalized. Eyewitnesses detained with Amini by the police revealed that he was severely beaten by police officers. He later died as a result of his injuries.
His death sparked mass protests and unrest in the Middle Eastern country, similar to what we are currently seeing in Iran.
