Iran plotting drone attack on California as retaliation for the war, terrifying FBI alert reveals

The FBI has warned California law enforcement about possible drone strikes on Iran’s West Coast in retaliation for the U.S. war against the Islamic Republic, according to a harrowing report from ABC News.

“In the event of a US attack on Iran, it is alleged that Iran wishes to launch a surprise attack from an unidentified ship off the coast of the US Homeland, using unmanned aerial vehicles, against unspecified targets, particularly in California,” the warning said.

The FBI update continued: ‘We have no additional information regarding the timing, method, target or perpetrators of this alleged attack.’

The warning comes as the Trump administration continues its relentless attack on Iran. The move follows a pattern of escalation in the Middle East, where the Tehran regime has increasingly used drone warfare as a primary tool for retaliation.

Both the FBI and the White House declined to comment for this story.

In recent months, authorities have also noticed an increase in the use of drones by Mexican drug cartels, increasing risks to U.S. border security and the safety of personnel operating in the region.

A September 2025 government bulletin warned of an unconfirmed tip indicating that Mexican cartel leadership may have green-lighted drone strikes using explosive-laden drones targeting American law enforcement and military personnel along the southern border.

The bulletin said such an attack on US soil would mark a dramatic and historic escalation, but officials found the scenario plausible, although they acknowledged that the cartels have historically steered clear of provocations likely to trigger a heavy US response.

The warning gave no details about how drone-capable ships might approach U.S. shores. But officials have been wary for years that Tehran might ‘forward-deploy’ the equipment in anticipation of a direct military conflict with Washington or Jerusalem.

An Iranian-linked hacking group has claimed responsibility for the global disruption of one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, the Daily Mail reports.

Michigan-based Stryker experienced a global outage on Wednesday and said thousands of employees lost access to their work systems. It employs approximately 53,000 people worldwide.

The company is a leading provider of advanced medical technologies that improve health outcomes, including joint replacements, robot-assisted surgical systems, trauma and neurotechnology products.

The Handala group published a statement on Telegram, saying it had wiped more than 200,000 systems and removed 50 terabytes of data in retaliation for military attacks on Iran.

Handala emerged around 2022 and claimed responsibility for a number of cyberattacks against Israeli and Western targets.

The group claimed that it had closed Stryker offices in 79 countries and that all extracted data was ‘now in the hands of the free people of the world’. Stryker operates in more than 100 countries worldwide.

“Our major cyber operation was carried out with complete success,” Handala said in a statement, describing the attack as retaliation for the “brutal attack on the Minab school” and “ongoing cyber attacks against the infrastructure of the Resistance Axis.”
