Un-Australian, tepid and toothless. Wallabies slammed over first Test performance
The sound in Brisbane was not anger or Rancor, just gloomy, sullen resignation. A crippled evening for Wallabies, traditionally felt like such a boiler for the landlords, more like a shrine, the despair of the house fans in the inadequacies of the teams had to beg the swallowing man to “make some noise”.
After waiting for his players to collide with the British and Irish lions once again, they dare to wait a little wheezing and challenge. Instead, however, they witnessed a dazzling dispute that the lack of harmony in the field was so painful that rare attacks on 22 tourists were met with bitter ironic cheers.
