Iran war entering decisive phase, Israeli minister says

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the war that Israel and the United States launched against Iran two weeks ago has intensified and entered a “decisive phase”.

Katz did not say whether this meant that Israel and the United States expected their military operations to end soon, but said only that the next phase would last as long as necessary, according to a statement from his office.

Katz stated that the Israeli Air Force continues to carry out an intense wave of attacks on Tehran and Iran in general, and called on Iranians to oppose their leadership.

“Only the Iranian people can put an end to this with a determined struggle until the terrorist regime is overthrown,” the minister said.

Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli military said it had detected a new wave of missiles launched towards the country from Iran.

It was stated in Telegram that air defense systems were working to block the bullets.

The Israeli military said it carried out nearly 400 waves of airstrikes in the first two weeks of the war, each involving large numbers of warplanes.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported online that the main targets were in central and western Iran and focused on missile launch sites and defense facilities.

More than 200 targets have been bombed in the last 24 hours alone.

Dozens of ballistic missile launch pads were hit; Some of these were reportedly preparing for attacks against Israel.

The IDF said air defense systems and weapons depots were also targeted.

Two senior intelligence officers from Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters were killed in an attack in Tehran on Friday, the IDF said.

The headquarters takes over command of Iran’s general staff in time of war.
