Iran war: Is Mojtaba Khamenei dead or alive? Stunning new claim about Iran leader’s fate

Is he dead or alive?

The fate of Iran’s newly promoted religious leader Mojtaba Khamenei has been the subject of intense speculation due to his conspicuous absence as the war in Iran enters its third week.

The 56-year-old’s only public appearance since taking the top job following the assassination of his father, Ali Khamenei, was a statement read on state television on Thursday in which he vowed to “avenge the blood of Iranians.”

Mojtaba Khamenei was injured on the first day of the Israeli and US military attacks on February 28, and many members of his family, including his father, wife and children, lost their lives.

Iran admits he was slightly injured but says his “health is good and the situation is completely under control.”

However, according to a source, his injuries are actually much worse. Sun He said he fell into a coma last week after losing at least one leg and also suffered severe stomach or liver damage. This information has not been verified.

A shocking development in the Kuwaiti newspaper: El Jarida, now reports that the new Ayatollah was secretly kidnapped from Iran on a Russian military plane and flown to Moscow, where he underwent a “successful” operation in one of the presidential palaces of Russian leader Vladmir Putin.

It was reported that he will return to Iran soon.

Al-Jarida reports that his information, also unconfirmed, comes from “a high-level source close to the new Iranian religious leader.”

In an environment where speculation is rife, even Donald Trump is not sure whether Mojtaba Khamenei is dead or alive.

“I don’t even know if he’s alive. No one has been able to point him out so far,” he told NBC.

“Why hasn’t anyone shown Mojtaba yet?” he asked. “If he is alive, he must do something very wise for his country, and that is to surrender.”

U.S. War Department Secretary Pete Hegseth believes Khamenei is “wounded and possibly disfigured.”

“There are a lot of cameras and a lot of voice recorders in Iran. Why a written statement? I think you know why. His father is dead. He’s scared, he’s injured, he’s on the run and he lacks legitimacy,” Mr. Hegseth said.

According to CBS, US intelligence has reportedly told President Trump and senior advisers that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is against the possibility of replacing his son.

It is believed that the elder Khamenei felt that his son was not capable and suitable for leadership and was experiencing problems in his personal life.

Netanyahu denies death reports

It was stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also subject to speculation about his health, and there were rumors circulating on the internet that he was dead or injured.

But unlike Khamenei, he quickly squashed false reports by posting a video of himself buying coffee and chatting with his aide.

In the video, shot in a cafe on the outskirts of Jerusalem and posted on Netanyahu’s Telegram and X accounts, his aide questions him about the rumors.

As he reaches for a cup of coffee, Mr. Netanyahu responds with a pun on the Hebrew slang word for dead, meaning “to go crazy” for someone or something.
