Tiger Carcass Discovered in Gundal Reservoir

Bengaluru: The carcass of a tiger, about 6 years old, was discovered floating in the waters of Gundal reservoir in Kollegal taluk of Chamarajanagar on Sunday.

Officials from the Kollegal Wildlife Department of Biligirirangaswamy Temple (BRT), a tiger reserve, suspect the tiger’s death after it was trapped before the animal succumbed.

Earlier, visitors to Gundal reservoir had come across the carcass and alerted forest officials. Forest officials said that Gundal reservoir is close to the BRT.
