Shah began as a civil engineer and then the rapper returned, then won the election of the Mayor of Kathmandu and made an unexpected transition to politics. His sudden success turned him into a national hero, when he was combined with the increasing disappointment of young people with traditional political parties.
The spark of the movement
The protest began with the #Nepocid trend on social media, condemning the generous lifestyle of politicians’ children. The government’s efforts to organize the Internet and social media have created peaceful demonstrations throughout the country, which the government answered using force. While the police actions were killed in 18 demonstrators in Kathmandu, 20 people around the country claimed to be injured and injured.
Balen Shah heartily approved the movement, and now young people accepted him as leaders. Kathmandu Metropol City Mayor showed the solidarity of the Gen Z movement against the government’s last steps against corruption and social media pavements.
Calls to lead the nation

Nepal is now equalizing the Shah with the Prime Minister and other senior political leaders. They want him to resign as mayor and take the command of the nation. Nepal’s My Republic Citizen Network reports a flood of social media messages that call on the Shah to create a new political party and guide the country. They claim that the politicians of the three long -lasting parties have been default and that Balen should rise on the occasion of presenting a new direction.
A date of confrontation
The war between the 34 -year -old Mayor Shah and the Prime Minister of the Prime Minister and the President of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) oli have long been for a long time. The latest crisis was triggered by the fact that the salaries were not paid to more than 3,500 employees of the city of Metropol and teachers were not paid more than four months. The Shah’s opposition to the government deepened after a row after the appointment of a new chief administrative officer.
The wars return to the time when Kathmandu Metropolitan began to destroy illegal houses and commercial organizations built. When Balen’s movement was faced, he sent municipal forces to demolish unauthorized buildings. This high -profile destruction included a person associated with UML, and threats were made to the Shah by Mash Basnet, a member of the UML Central Committee. The tension increased when the Shah took action to evacuate illegal inhabitants from the public land, especially from the river coast. Oli accused the Shah for persecuting the poor, although most of the inhabitants were aligned with UML politically.
The latest conflict began on the expansion of the sidewalks in New Road. When the UML -supported Ward President objected to the project, UML -supported ministries ordered the stopping of the study. As revenge, Balen accused Oli for “policy corruption” in the Land Excanda scandal of the Giribandhu Tea Land, which was controversial. UML leaders labeled Balen as a political “balloon” that would explode in weeks.
Balen, who was not based on political disagreements, has always stood against government policies. With the full confirming the Gene Z movement, it gave him the driving force he needed and today he demands the leadership of the country.
