Is Xi Losing Control? Why China’s Army Generals May Be Turning On President And What It Means For India | World News

New Delhi: Something is cracking in China. Quiet, hidden but real. President Xi Jinping disappeared from the public opinion in late May. He’s now jumped the BRICS summit in Rio. Unusual? But this is not just about a diplomatic colds. The whispers in Beijing are growing loudly – their generals no longer trust him.

Running began behind the walls of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). After keeping the total control, XI cleans the best commanders. Two Minister of Defense. Multiple rocket forces heads. Even the general was rejected even Weidong, who was once seen as the second most powerful man in China. His fault? Allegedly pushing Taiwan very much and very fast.

Beijing for a long time on that island. Xi made it a personal task. He ordered PLA to be “ready for war” until 2027. But the generals now seem hesitant. Some disappeared. The others remained silent. Internally, there is a growing fear – what if the army does not want this war anymore?

China has not been in a real war since 1979. His army is very wide but not tried. The West sees it as a giant, but without scars. Experts say Xi’s greatest insecurity. He built a castle, but the foundations can be fragile.

Tension is falling into politics. Premier Li Qiang stepped into Xi at the BRICS summit. Party technocrats like Wang Yang are rising again. These shifts ask questions – XI is from inside or without edges?

American analysts say PLA’s loyalty is not directly to the XI, but to the communist party. Unlike the US army, which swears commitment to a constitution, the Chinese army is swearing to the ruling party. When this confidence is overcome, the chain of command is eroded.

And this makes Taiwan even more dangerous.

If the Xi rushes to the conflict to rebuild its power, the sprinkle can be enormous. A unsuccessful invasion was already beaten with trade wars and debts, and would shake China’s economy. An incorrectly calculated war would also attract the US and probably India to a new regional crisis.

India’s defense community is closely monitoring. Any instability in Beijing can fluctuate throughout the Himalayas and throughout the Indo-Pacific. PLA was aggressive along the Lac before. If the chaos produces beer in Beijing, China may go abroad to regain its image at home.

Xi wanted to show power. However, the silence from its generals can say more than any passage ceremony.
