Isabelle Tate dies: Actress revealed progressive neuromuscular disease battle in 2022; what Is It and how did it affect her?

9-1-1: Nashville actress Isabelle Tate died on October 19, 2025 (Sunday) at the age of 23. He is survived by his mother, Katerina Kazakos Tate; stepfather Vishnu Jayamohan; father, John Daniel Tate; and sister Daniella Tate. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, the actor grew up in the Franklin community. She recently appeared in the series premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville.

“Isabelle was fierce, a warrior, never once making an excuse for the fact that she might have been disabled to others,” the obituary said. “He was also very into music, often spending hours with friends writing and recording songs and even releasing a few.”

“What he loved most was spending time with his family and friends, he was always the life of the party,” she continues. “His sister was his best friend and his mother was his shining beacon of light.”
In 2022, Tate revealed that he was suffering from progressive neuromuscular disease. He said at the time that he was diagnosed when he was 13 years old.

In a 2022 Instagram post, he detailed that the Neuromuscular condition “weakened my leg muscles over time,” causing him to have to use a wheelchair. “This has been a difficult journey for me because it has been extremely difficult to accept help and surrender to the progression of this situation,” he wrote in 2022.

“As I tried to come to terms with this, I realized that I was truly losing myself in some ways. I hated that not only was it breaking me down physically, but I was also letting it break down my soul.”

She added, “Like most of us, I never expected something like this to happen to me. I don’t know why these are the cards I’ve been dealt in life, but I can’t change it, so I choose to embrace it and not let it define me.”
