Israel deepens Gaza City assault as Netanyahu visits US

Israeli forces are moving deeper into the city of Gaza on the way to New York to address the United Nations General Assembly of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and US President Donald Trump is making an agreement to end the Gaza War.
Local health officials said that Israeli strikes killed at least 19 people in the Palestinian settlement on Thursday.

Some of Netanyahu’s coalition allies want Israel to annex the West Bank.
Israel, European countries and others have been more and more critical of Gaza military siege.
The International Criminal Court issued an order for Netanyahu for alleged war crimes during the Gaza War.
Israel rejects the court’s jurisdiction and refused to reject war crimes in Gaza.
Netanyahu maintained the support of the US, the most important ally of Israel, and Trump said to the UN this week that recognizing the Palestinian state this week rewarded what he calls Hamas persecution and could encourage constant conflict.
Netanyahu is expected to address the General Assembly on Friday and meet Trump next week.
Netanyahu, who left Israel on Thursday, said he would condemn leaders who know the Palestinian state.
