Israel issues imminent WW3 warning | World | News

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Israel is fully aware of Iran’s ongoing military exercises. “We know that Iran is conducting military exercises,” he said. “We are monitoring this and making the necessary preparations. “I want to make it clear to Iran that any action against Israel will be met with a very harsh response.”
The remarks raise concerns that a new conflict could break out between the two rivals due to miscalculation or the belief that the other side is preparing an imminent attack.
Israel warned the Trump administration over the weekend that Iranian Revolutionary Guard missile drills could represent preparations for an attack on Israel, according to Axios.
“The probability of an Iranian attack is less than 50 percent, but no one wants to take the risk and say that this is just an exercise,” an Israeli source told the news site.
Danger of World War 3
The danger of a new war breaking out between the two countries due to lack of communication or an assessment that the other side is preparing for an immediate attack remains high.
Netanyahu is expected to call his presidential candidate Donald TrumpTehran supports an Israeli strike against Iran’s missile capabilities before it achieves its declared goals.
However, if another conflict begins, this time, the United States may be left without the ability to support Israel, as it did last June. Rising tensions surrounding Venezuela could mean America’s resources are focused elsewhere.
nuclear raid
In June, Israel launched an attack on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, citing an immediate and existential threat.
This led to 12 days of airstrikes that resulted in more than 1,000 deaths, according to Iranian officials.
In response, Iran launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and nearly 1,100 drones at Israel, killing nearly 32 people and injuring more than 3,000 in Israel, according to health officials.
Iran is not aware of the risks
Iran does not appear to have fully grasped the message of the US attack on an Iranian nuclear facility during the 12-day conflict last June, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said on Monday.
“I don’t know that Iran took (U.S. President Donald Trump) seriously until the night the B-2 bombers went to Fordow,” Huckabee said.
“I hope they got the message, but it seems like they didn’t get the whole message because, as you noted, it looks like they’re trying to restructure and find a new way to dig the hole deeper and secure it more.”
