Resurvey 2.0 should be error free, says A.P. Revenue Minister

Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad
Revenue, Registration and Stamp Minister Anagani Satya Prasad on Friday (January 30) directed officials to ensure an error-free Survey 2.0, stressing that the app should build trust among farmers.
Chairing a detailed review meeting with senior revenue officials at the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) office in Mangalagiri, the Minister said the government has issued a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) extending the re-investigation timeline to 140 days to allow comprehensive verification. He instructed officials to actively involve landowners at every stage and postpone surveys rather than proceeding in the absence of farmers concerned.
Mr. Satya Prasad said that the distribution of pattadar passbooks will be carried out in a transparent and error-free manner from February 2 to 9. He said authorities should show land records to farmers and landowners and obtain their approval before new passport books are printed, leaving no room for any corrections once the documents are printed.
The minister also asked the officials to prepare a comprehensive policy to resolve the issues related to 22-A land. He said discussions held earlier in Group of Ministers meetings will form the basis, but a clear proposal needs to be developed at the level of officials before a final policy statement is made by the government.
He noted that revenue clinics being held in districts were yielding positive results and called for measures to make them more effective. Emphasizing systemic reform, he said revenue-related complaints should be resolved within the month they arise.
