Israel Says Killed 5 Iran Guards Commanders in Beirut Hotel Strike

JERUSALEM: Three key commanders from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force were killed in an attack on a Beirut hotel, the Israeli military said Sunday, leaving five Guardsmen dead.
“The Israeli Navy, guided by the IDF’s precise intelligence, conducted a precision strike in Beirut, Lebanon, overnight, targeting five commanders from the Revolutionary Guard’s Lebanese Corps and the Palestinian Corps while they were meeting at a hotel in Beirut,” the military said. he said.
“There is no safe place for the Iranian axis of evil anywhere in the Middle East, not in Beirut, not anywhere else,” Israeli Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir said in a separate statement.
