The Israeli Prime Minister thanked people for their perseverance and said: “We are working with responsibility and common sense to gradually reopen schools and return as much stability, security and routine to our children as possible.”
He added, “Together with my colleagues in the government, we continue to do everything to ease the burden on citizens, strengthen the economy, assist reservists and their families, and continue our efforts until we achieve all the objectives of the campaign. The resilience you have shown and adherence to the instructions of the Home Front Command give us the strength to continue to act decisively for the security of Israel and the future of our children.”
Speaking at a press conference earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed that Israel had gained the upper hand in its ongoing military operation against Iran and that Tehran’s military capacity had been significantly weakened.
“We are winning and much of Iran is being destroyed. Iran’s missile and drone arsenal is being greatly degraded and will be destroyed.”Also Read: Trump calls on Japan and NATO to ‘take action’ on Iran as oil prices drop
Detailing the operations, Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces targeted and destroyed hundreds of missile launchers, while also severely damaging Iran’s missile stocks and production infrastructure.
“Hundreds of launchers were destroyed, missile stockpiles and the industries that produced them were hit hard. We destroyed missiles in the ascendant line and destroyed a lot of nuclear infrastructure,” he said.
He also emphasized that recent operations have expanded beyond targeting weapons to disrupting Iran’s broader defense production ecosystem.
“What we’re destroying now are the factories that produce the parts needed to make these missiles and the nuclear weapons they’re trying to produce. We’re destroying their industrial base in a way we haven’t done before,” he added.
Netanyahu also claimed that Iran’s air defense systems had been neutralized, its naval forces had been severely damaged, and its air force had been significantly weakened.
This development comes at a time when tensions between Israel and Iran are rising and both sides are engaged in an escalating conflict with missile exchanges and military operations.
