Israeli security analyst calls Iran crisis ‘biblical event’ after attacks

Sirens blaring amid missile threats following Operation Epic Fury and US-Israeli attacks on Iran, the last 48 hours in Tel Aviv have been unprecedented, a leading security analyst said.

“We are faced with a biblical event – ​​nothing less.” Kobi Michael, A senior fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies and the Misgav Institute spoke to Fox News Digital from his bunker in the city.

Like many Israelis, Michael said he spent hours in fortified chambers during the ongoing barrage, adding that he was “very experienced in this matter.”

Speaking shortly after the president released a video message saying the military operation would continue “until all of our objectives are achieved,” Trump said, “But all of this takes time and determination, and I hope Trump will have both.”

“When the siren sounds, we go into our shelter and stay there until Home Front Command announces that we can leave,” Michael said.

“Usually it lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, unless other sirens go off during our stay. It’s happened about 30 times since yesterday morning.”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog also delivered a message of resilience by visiting a site of influence in Tel Aviv on Sunday.

Herzog said, “The people of Israel and the people of Iran can live in peace. The region can live in peace. But what undermines peace over and over again is the terrorism that this Iranian regime incites.” he said.

Following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and approximately 40 senior Iranian officials, Iran established an interim leadership council.

Iran appointed Ayatollah Ali Reza Arafi, President Massoud Pezeshkian, and Chief of the Judiciary Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i to these roles.

“The Supreme Leader has not completed the necessary groundwork regarding his own succession,” Michael added.

“Pezeshkian will face very troubling challenges due to its heavy losses, severe disruptions in control and command systems, and major bombings and attacks across Iran, including Tehran,” he said.

“Even if this regime does not collapse, it will never be able to regroup, recover, or return to its previous position,” Michael added.
