Jackie French: Snuggled inside with a hot cuppa, my garden never looked better | The Canberra Times

Note: Dahlias, Hellebores, Lemons, Tamarillos, Jonquils and Dahlias will grow from the seed collected from a friend’s garden, but they can bloom for 1-3 years and may not resemble their parents – a garden is lucky. Hedroges and daisies grow well from winter or hard wood – if a whisk, but a cut is better cut because the fracture wood is more likely to decay than a smooth cut. Just as the backbone of my garden is with seeds and cut gifts decades, if you put extra time collection and planting, a luxury garden can be free.
