Jacob Greber to replace Laura Tingle as 7.30 political editor, ABC announces

ABC announced that the award -winning journalist Jacob Graber will join 7.30 as a political editor.

Graber took over from Laura Tingle, who resigned from the role of becoming a global editor of the public broadcaster last month.

Graber, an ABC’s main digital political correspondent, had a almost 30 -year journalist career, including economics, politics and world affairs.

“It is an incredible time to participate in 7.30 with Sarah Ferguson and the team. Our audience is rightly demanding clarity and insight about the challenges we face as a nation and a nation.” He said.

The announcement was held on Thursday night program and 7.30 host Sarah Ferguson broke the news to the audience.

GRER will continue to write regularly for the ABC News website and application, and politics will now be included in Podcast and weekly policy program.

To Political Editor from Copy Boy

Graber’s journalism career began in a copy of the journalism equivalent of the postal chamber – Canberra Press Gallery.

Before moving to Switzerland, his father’s homeland, Queensland discussed state politics for the courier mail.

There he covered the European economy and the global banks of Switzerland for Broadcasting Corporation and then Bloomberg News in Zurich.
