Jaishankar Hosts BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

New York: On Saturday, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar hosted a meeting of the BRICS Foreign Ministers in New York and emphasized the important role of the block in promoting multilaterality and constructive international participation.
Addressing the meeting, Jaishankar said, “When multilaterality is under stress, BRICS stands intact as a strong sound and constructive change of change.” The block emphasized the need to strengthen the principles of peace construction, dialogue, diplomacy and commitment to international law in a turbulent global environment.
“In a turbulent world, BRICS should strengthen the message of peace, dialogue, diplomacy and commitment to international law.”
In corporate reforms, Jaishankar said, “The BRICS should be called collectively for a comprehensive reform of the main bodies of the UN Security Council, especially reflecting the long -standing demand for more representative and effective global governance.
In addition, “rising protectionism, tariff volatility and non -tariff obstacles affect trade flows, BRICs should defend the multilateral trade system,” he also discussed economic difficulties.
Jaishankar, “technology and innovation will define the next stage of BRICS cooperation,” he noted. “India will focus on Food and Energy Safety, Climate Change and Sustainable Development through Digital Transformation, Initiatives, Innovations and Strengthened Development Partnerships.”
Jaishankar also experienced a “great meeting” of Ibsa (India, Brazil, South Africa) in New York, where the grouping refers to the commitment of the group to the UN Security Council’s transformation reform.

In addition, Colombia Foreign Minister Rosa, along with Vilavicencio, presided over the India-Tecec (Latin American and Caribbean Society) meeting of Foreign Ministers.
